We have an incredibly talented community of dancers. In fact, there is so much talent that it.s becoming increasingly difficult to decide on winners of contests. Because of this, we want to try something new and challenge dancers in a completely different way. We are introducing a tournament style format in an effort to bring dancers out of their usual competitive box, a box that The Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown is partially responsible for creating and promoting over the years. It is our hope that these changes will encourage dancers to create beyond what they have already done and inspire each other to new heights of greatness.

Note: All other contests will be organized in the usual spotlighted, phrase battle format. It is only the one contest titled "The Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown" or "The Showdown" that will be formatted tournament style.
